Jeanny is a third-year student double majoring in Biochemistry and Environment Science. She is passionate about science research, innovations, sustainability, and leadership development. She is very excited to lead EPSA this year and is grateful to have the support of a fantastic team of executive members. Jeanny hopes EPSA would provide helpful guidance to students, foster intimacy both across different disciplines and within the DPES community, and grow under the care of numerous hardworking individuals. Anesh Jeyakumar

Anesh is a second-year student in the Environmental Sciences specializing in Geoscience and minoring in GIS. As the VP of communications he hopes to work along with other members of the association to notify students of their possible options in the field of environmental and physical science. In his spare time he likes to spent time in the gym or work on photography assignments. He is currently an admin for three Facebook groups (CHMA10/11, PHYA10 and EESA01) which currently holds over 1000 students. These groups benefit students with any questions and concerns. He joined the team back in 2013 as a first year representative so that he can reach out to the other first year students and encourage them to come out to as many events as possible along with articulating their opinions about the department. This year, the Spectrum Newsletter will be published and we assure you will look forward to it! Christa Croos

Christa is a third year student planning to complete a double major in Chemistry Co-op and Environmental Science. She’s excited to work with students in the environmental and physical sciences to make them all feel like one big (functional) family via EPSA events and help them with any concerns they may have, academic or otherwise throughout the year. When she’s not studying, sleeping, eating or trying to maintain her chill, she enjoys reading, watching films/too much television (and subsequently crying because she’s too emotionally invested) and attending concerts. Adrian Lorenzana

Adrian is a third year student, currently majoring in Human Biology and double minoring in Psychology and Anthropology. As the Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing the finances and operation of EPSA . As the previous events coordinator, he has pushed for new events and ideas, and is now behind every project EPSA strives to complete, holding the role of securing the finances behind every endeavour. His greatest goal has always been and will continue to be to expand EPSA through the help of his team and students on campus, and to provide students with affordable and engaging academic resources and social events. Lukman is currently a third year student completing a major in Biochem and two minors in Biology and Economics. Aryana Singh

Aryana is a second year student planning to complete a double major in Biochemistry and Human Biology as well as a minor in French. Volunteering and participating in extracurricular activities on campus has been a great way for her to develop her skills and make new connections. As external affairs commissioner, she wants to bring meaningful volunteering opportunities to students of any discipline on campus. Also, she hopes to coordinate relation between EPSA and non-profit organizations. In addition, she hopes to encourage students to participate and stay connected with events that EPSA will be hosting throughout the year. Rehma Amir

Rehma is aiming to complete her degree: double major in biochemistry and biology, this year. She is the Chemistry Representative for the year 2014-2015, and her goal is to maintain the Chem Aid Center (CAC). Her aim is to create a healthy environment and facilitate learning through peers. She is very approachable and will be glad to help students interested in the Chemistry/biochemistry field. Also, She would love to gain positive and negative feedback to improve the CAC. She is an optimistic individual and wishes to gain loads of fun experiences this year!

Kevin is undergoing his third year of study and is in the Environmental Geoscience Specialist Co-op program. He is intrigued by nature and loves to spend time working in the Mitchell Research Group. He loves the outdoors and whenever do don’t find him studying the Earth, you would probably have better luck finding him the great Canadian wilderness. Kevin likes adventures and during the summer you would likely find him canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and climbing. In the winter, snow sports such as skiing, winter camping and skating take over. He had completed the Duke of Edinburgh Award at the Gold Standard and is an Outdoor Skills Development leader. As EPSA’s Environmental Sciences Representative, Kevin wants to tighten the bond between students and faculty across DPES and help guide students to environmental programs and events around campus! Yamn Chalich

Yamn is a 3rd year student pursuing a Specialist in Physics and Astrophysics with a Minor in Computer Science. He is in Ottawa for the Fall term finishing a Co-op work term as a member of the Quantum Optics team at the University of Ottawa. As the Physics Representative, his temporary physical absence from UTSC during the Fall will not stop him from directing the Physics Aid Centre (PAC) to provide students with the help they need to build a strong foundation in physics. Rikesh is currently a third year student at UTSC double majoring in Molecular Biology, Immunology, and Disease and Neuroscience. He loves going to events held on and off campus and is looking forward to help plan and run some events with EPSA! He loves to socialize and meet new people so if you ever see him in the halls, feel free to come up and say “Hi!” You’ll find him playing pick-up games of basketball, soccer, football, badminton, and tennis or checking out the latest lively affair happening in the city. Roland Law

Roland is currently a fourth year student finishing his specialist degree in Environmental Biology. Having finished his first year at UTSC as a BBA student, he brings valuable financial knowledge and experience to the team as the financial manager. His role in EPSA is to write proposals to bring you events at the best price possible, as well as to keep the team updated with their financial stability. Aside from his role in EPSA, he is also an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Cadotte’s Ecology lab. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, skateboarding, swimming, cooking, and wearing nice clothes. Good luck finding him on campus after the first snowfall though, because he will be on the hills snowboarding whenever he has time. Mathurhaen Siri

Mathurhaen is a third year student, completing a double major in Human Biology and Psychology. As EPSA’s very first executive to carry the title of Media Representative, he hopes to pave the path with his novel position by strengthening EPSA’s online presence to a greater mass of students by means of social media and networks. His vast experience with handling the social media feeds of various organizations across campus will allow him to easily accomplish his endeavor. He has also been an active member and volunteer for a variety of organizations external to the university environment. Following his mantra of reciprocating good faith, he has established strong interests in assisting his community and the general public. During his leisure time, he is known to frequent the gym, follow up on sports, play poker, and keep up to date with the latest in the world of tech. Marcellus is currently a first year student at UTSC. He is currently pursuing a double major in biochemistry and psychology. Marcellus is a space enthusiast and enjoys watching documentaries such as Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey. However is true passion is the sciences of biology and chemistry. Leshawn Benedict

Leshawn is a third year student at UTSC, double majoring in biochemistry (co-op) and biology, while taking on a minor in psychology. In his spare time he is on RealGM or other sports sites looking up the latest on any basketball related activities in the NBA. He is the biggest Toronto Raptors fan on campus. Whenever he eats, for some reason, he always finds himself on YouTube learning about the latest in the tech world (shout out to Marques Brownlee). As the marketing manager, he plans on connecting the gap between students and faculty through designing many graphical pieces for the various events EPSA holds. He is also knowledgeable in the various courses offered at UTSC (mostly anything in the biology, chemistry or psychology department). So if you need help with your course selections or have questions about anything, please feel free to send an email and he will be more than happy to help out!
