Water Week at UTSC

Waterhogs, a nonprofit group led by Dr. Mandy Meriano at the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences, is encouraging students to conserve as much water as possible this week and help raise money for a scholarship program that would
financially support students in Tanzania with their tuition so they can
complete a postgraduate program in Hydrogeology and Water Resources Management.
For more information on Water Hogs and hints on how to conserve water see their website: http://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/physsci/water-hogs.

Waterhogs will have a table in the Meeting Place on:
Monday March 17th: 10am-12pm and 2-4pm
Wednesday March 19th: 12-2pm

They will be selling t-shirts and buttons with the Waterhog logo, and raffle tickets for three Visa Gift Certificate prizes. All profits from the sale of t-shirts and buttons will be used towards scholarship for students in Tanzania.

Waterhogs will have get-together at Rex’s Den on Thursday March 20th from 5-7pm. Some food will be provided and they’ll have t-shirts, buttons, and raffle tickets for sale.

Can’t make it at any of these times, then email waterhogs@utsc.utoronto.ca to order your t-shirt and buttons.

Donations will be accepted with the pledge form available at
