The Academic Advising & Career Centre at University of Toronto Scarborough, in partnership with the Environmental and Physical Sciences Students Association, the Biology Students Association, the Chemistry Society and the Psychology and Neuroscience Departmental Association, would like to invite you to attend a Science Networking Night on Thursday, March 3rd from 5:30 – 7:30pm at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
Please register on CLN, https://cln.utoronto.ca/home.htm if you are interested.
The purpose of this event is to provide students an opportunity to expand their knowledge about career options and learn about the transition from school to work. Students value hearing insights and advice from experienced professionals. The information you provide will truly make a difference in helping students as they make important career decisions.
The session will begin with industry professionals seated at a table with approximately 5-8 students who will share career related information such as: What was the career path that led to your current position? What education/skills are needed to succeed in this area? What are the pros and cons of working in this area? What sort of opportunities are in demand? What advice would you give someone wishing to pursue a career in this area? After a couple of rotations of about 15 minutes, this will be followed by an open reception.
